What I like about Acapulco is the welcoming atmosphere and the amazing food, generally under $10.
The most expensive items on the menu are the seafood, steak and fajita entrees, reaching the $20 range. But the best item on their eight-page menu is the Enchiladas Rancheras ($8.50)—a plate of three beef, chicken and cheese enchiladas, topped with fresh tomatoes, guacamole and your choice of rice or beans.
The alcohol menu consists of Mexican and domestic beer, wine, margaritas and the typical liquor. A 12 oz. margarita cost $2 and a pint of Dos Equis for $4.75.
It is a diamond in the rough being on the far end of Mall Road in Florence, Ky. It is tucked behind Starbucks and away from the congestion of Florence Mall itself. Despite the location, they seem to be doing well for themselves. Their dining area, which can seat close to 100 people, was filling up as the meal went on‑on a Sunday night!
Inside the restaurant, murals of sea-side villas are painted on each wall. Mariachi music plays throughout and sets a nice background melody to the whole place.
So, if you are a fan of Mexican food and want to try another restaurant or are just looking for a great place to go with friends or family, Acapulco is perfect—there is something for everyone there.
