VIDEO: Jazz Funk at the Rec
September 22, 2020
The campus rec center has a variety of programs available to students, ranging from the standard gym equipment to a rock wall, an indoor pool, intramural sports, and even fitness classes. One of those fitness classes, Jazz Funk Fitness, is taught by NKU senior and Dance BFA major Brianna Mullins who came up with the idea her freshman year. The class is a high energy dance and fitness class that helps students to stay active while having fun and making new connections. According to Mullins, staying active and getting social interaction through the class is even more important for herself and students during the pandemic. Getting to see the students smile and own the routines is one of Mullins best personal benefits from the class. Jazz Funk Fitness meets Thursday nights at 6pm in the campus rec center’s Ox Gym.
