Dean Dr. Ginni Fair – College of Education

Dr. Fair is a proud parent and dog owner. She has two dachshund mixes as well as a goldendoodle. She enjoys hanging out with her family to blow off steam, which includes playing board games like Poetry for Neanderthals and other mystery games where you have to find the killer based on a stack of evidence and clues sent to you by mail. She also owns and teaches classes at a dance studio, the Creative Arts and Talent Studio. She does theater, too. One of her most recent shows was the Evil Queen in “Snow White” at Spotlight Theater. Dr. Fair currently takes some business classes at NKU in her spare time as well–she is passing those courses. She is also very involved at her church and is a vocalist in her choir. Dr. Fair considers herself an introvert and attributes a lot of her recharging time to her commute, which is over an hour and a half long. During that time, she listens to music and podcasts of all kinds. She also finds a lot of destressing in the interactions she has with her colleagues both within the College of Education and with the other deans. “Every job needs elements of destressing. Enjoying your job is a lot of emotional and mental health. I’m doing something that I feel makes a difference,” she said.
