Dean Dr. Diana McGill – College of Arts and Sciences
Dr. McGill is an avid outdoors person. She loves bike riding and frequently participates in organized rides–sometimes as long as 30 miles in one day. She’s also been all over the country, camping in several national parks, with her favorite camping spot being in Glacier National Park. She’s a seasoned international traveler and has been to several places around the world with her husband, including but not limited to: Australia, the United Kingdom, France and Germany. She loves a good Maine Lobster Bake and likes to bake in her spare time as well. Her husband is a massive history buff and “by proxy I’ve become interested,” she said. Some of her favorite programs are historical documentaries. She also alleviates stress by exercising, whether this be running, biking, lifting–anything helps. “If I don’t get exercise then the stress is noticeable,” she said. Dr. McGill also feels that the relationships that she has at work are paramount in dealing with the day-to-day stressors. “It’s one of the things that makes the job bearable,” she said.
