Baseball lost against Southern Indiana in Evansville 10-0. Bobby Bartlett took the loss for the Norse, allowing two runs over two innings of work. Ryan Pehrson threw a scoreless inning for NKU. On to the bats, Gabe Miranda provided two of the four NKU hits, finishing 2-3 with a walk. Nolan Sparks provided the lone XBH with a double. Marcus Harrison finished 1-3.

Friday, April 4
Baseball faced off against Wright State, losing 19-5. Kaden Echeman took the ball for the Norse and struck out six, but took the loss. NKU pitching combined for 11 strikeouts but walked eight batters and hit five. To the hitters, Tyler Shaneyfelt homered as part of a 1-2 day, drawing a walk and stealing a base as well. Gabe Miranda finished 1-4 with an RBI and a stolen base. Josh Williams had a homerun, finishing 1-3. Braydon Rogers had the lone two-hit performance for NKU, finishing 2-4 with a home run and an RBI.
Softball played a doubleheader against Robert Morris, dropping both games. First game 6-5: The Norse collected eight hits and five walks. Brielle DiMemmo hit her second home run of the season, finishing 1-4 at the plate. Olivia Pastin finished 2-4 with a pair of clutch one-run hits, one being a double. Campbell Beatty had a perfect game one at the plate, going 2-2 with two walks, three runs scored and a stolen base. Brooklyn Ballis pitched six innings, allowing three earned runs, seven hits and two walks. Second game 5-4: NKU had eight hits again, with three players notching multi-hit games. Beatty went 2-4, finishing her day with four hits at the plate. Marley Gearld went 2-3 at the plate with a double and two RBI. Pastin went 2-4 with a pair of singles. DiMemmo batted 1-1 with a double, walk, RBI and two runs scored. Alicia Flores threw five innings for the Norse, allowing six hits and three runs with no walks.
Women’s tennis took on Oakland, losing 5-2. Darya Gneidina and Alyssa Cameron picked up singles wins for the Norse.

Saturday, April 5
Women’s and men’s track and field competed in the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. Nine Norse set school overall or freshman records. Women’s: Jill Wilhelm won the very first event of the meet, taking home the crown in the Javelin Throw with a best mark of 39.28m. Her throw was a season-best, improving on her NKU record throw. Olivia Kennedy finished in third in the 800m, with a season-best in the outdoor of 2:10.04. It also marked the best-ever time in the outdoor 800m at NKU. Cameron Bitterman ran a 55.23 in the 400m dash, a third-place finish. It also marked a season-best and NKU record for Bitterman. Sierra Kendall finished third in the 400m hurdles, running a 1:00.86, another season-best and program record breaking mark for NKU. Julia Pohl tied for second in the high jump, clearing 1.72 meters on her second attempt. NKU’s 4x100m relay squad of Meredith Goff, Cameron Bitterman, Madison McDaniel and Sierra Kendall finished fourth with a time of 47.85. It marked their best time of the outdoor season and stands as the second-best in the Horizon League. Men’s: Natnael Weldemichael continued his strong start to the outdoor season, winning the 5000m run at 14:20.00. Colton O’Hara followed up Weldemichael with a time of 14:32.32, a fourth-place finish. In the 3000m Steeplechase, Nathan Ruth finished second with a time of 9:32.75. Summit Northrup (fourth, 10:19.01), Nicholas Costas (fifth, 10.25.46) and Robert Wilke (sixth, 10:37.48) all also competed in the event. Ruth’s time currently ranks as second-best in the Horizon League. Jacob Line notched a fifth-place finish in the 1500m run, running a 3:51.51. Branton Koroly broke a new NKU freshman outdoor record in the 400m, running a 50.60. NKU set two records in the men’s 800m, as Brady Messer broke the Norse outdoor record with a 1:51.96. Brayden Holland set a new freshman record, running a 1:54.36. Dieondre Keller and Josh Brockman, a pair of freshmen, both set a new record in the men’s pole vault, as they both cleared 12′-11.75″.
Men’s tennis beat IU-Indy 4-3. Jacob Rouleau-Mailly, Emilio Bravo, Joao Pimenta and Hector Salvador Civera all picked up singles wins.

Sunday, April 6
Baseball faced off against Wright State splitting the double header. First game NKU lost 9-6: Conner Linn took the ball for the Norse, pitching five innings and striking out six. Linn allowed five runs, but only two were earned. Evan Fry was a highlight out of the bullpen, pitching 2.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts. In the batter’s box, Logen Devenport finished 1-5 with a home run and two RBI. Marcus Harrison’s two-run homer marked his first as a Norse. Brennan Rowe tied the game in the sixth with a two-run single. Second game NKU won 7-4: Aaron Boster started the series finale for the Norse, throwing 5.2 innings and allowing four runs (three earned) while pitching to a no-decision. Logan Wilson threw a scoreless inning for NKU. Bobby Bartlett picked up the win after coming in and throwing 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball. Bartlett struck out one and held the Raiders off the board. Brennan Rowe was clutch for the Norse, finishing 2-5 with four RBI. Rowe had an RBI double and the game-winning three run homer in the seventh. Logen Devenport finished 2-4 with an RBI. Gabe Miranda finished 1-3 with an RBI. Jake Paulick doubled home a run as part of a 2-4 day. NKU drew nine walks in the win.
