Tuesday, March 25
Women’s golf competed in The Julie, placing sixth. Rachel DiDonato, who competed as an individual, finished fifth overall, firing a 79 in round one and a 75 in round two for a 154 total, just three shots back of first. DiDonato made three birdies in 36 holes. Reagan Nolan finished eighth, making three birdies in 36 holes. Nolan fired an 80 in round one and a 77 in round two 157 total. Eva Maley finished with a T-12 finish, shooting 79-80 with a total of 159. Gianna White jumped up 25 spots on the leaderboard in the second round with a 75 after an 88 in the first round 163 total. Gracie Baun finished T-31 with rounds of 84-79 with a total of 163. Baun made a pair of birdies and competed as an individual. Kenna Jenkinson rebounded from a tough round one 89 to shoot a 77 in the final round for a 166 total and a T-44 finish. Ella Hardy fired rounds of 81-86 with a total of 167 at the event. Competing as an individual, Lilly Baunman finished with a 173 (92-81).
Baseball beat Ohio at home 8-7. Bobby Bartlett took the ball for the Norse and threw a third of an inning, allowing three runs on three hits. Logan Wilson came on for Bartlett and got an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded before allowing an unearned run in the second. Noah Sackenheim threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout. The final four innings saw Carson French (2.0 IP, 1 K), Evan Fry (1.0 IP, W) and Aaron Massie (1.0 IP, SV) shut down the Bobcats, holding them off the board while the bats came alive. To the bats, Jake Paulick finished with three hits, including a pair of doubles and three runs scored. Nolan Sparks came off the bench and provided a 2-4 day, finishing with a pair of RBI’s including the game winner. Braydon Rogers finished 2-3 with a pair of walks and an RBI. Logen Devenport finished 1-2 with a three-run homer. Jake Altman came off the bench and tied the game with an RBI double, finishing 1-1.
Softball faced off against Eastern Kentucky, winning 3-2. Brooklyn Ballis started in the circle with a complete game victory, allowing just three hits, two walks, and two runs against an EKU offense averaging 5.8 runs per contest. Against EKU ace pitcher Victoria Byrum, who entered Tuesday’s contest with a 1.65 ERA, the Norse registered just three hits and just one before the seventh inning. DiMemmo played the hero with her home run, finishing 1-3 at the plate with two RBI’s. Stella Wulker went 1-3 with an RBI double. Olivia Pastin finished 1-3 with a single.
Wednesday, March 26
Men’s golf competed in the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate, finishing seventh. Micah Bertram finished 3-0 for the Norse, winning 4 & 3 in round one, 7 & 6 in round two and 3 & 2 in round three. Bertram was five under par in his round two victory. Zach Beard finished 1-2, winning 4 & 3 after a two-under par score in the third round vs. Bowling Green. Isaac Moody grabbed a win in the third round over Bowling Green (3 & 1) at even par. Mason Butler won his matchup in round two vs. Ohio. Butler finished at even par.
Friday, March 28
Men’s triathlon concludes its inaugural season in the Collegiate Club National Championships in Miami, FL. Frederik Smal placed 392nd, Johannes Smal placed 416th and Will Griffith placed 500th. Frederik Smal completed the race in an overall time of 2:38:23, completing the 1500m swim in 25:54, T1 in 2:26, the 40km bike in 1:17:15, T2 in 1:27, and the 10km run in 51:23. Johannes Smal completed the race in an overall time of 2:41:13, completing the 1500m swim in 31:18, T1 in 2:35, the 40km bike in 1:19:04, T2 in 1:41, and the 10km run in 46:37. Griffith completed the race in an overall time of 2:50:42, completing the 1500m in 24:22, T1 in 2:43, the 40km bike in 1:30:12, T2 in 1:46, and the 10km run in 51:40.
Stunt lost to Missouri State 21-0 and Quincy 12-4.
Softball beat Cleveland State at home 7-6. NKU scored seven runs on 11 hits, including a three-spot in both the third and sixth innings. Mack Brow went 2-2 with a walk, two RBI, and two runs scored. Campbell Beatty went 2-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored. Brielle DiMemmo finished 2-4 at the plate with a double and a run scored. Olivia Pastin went 2-4 with a pair of singles. Brooklyn Ballis threw six innings, striking out six batters. Ballis notched her 7th win of the season, moving to 7-7.
Baseball faced off against Milwaukee, losing 13-3. Connor Kurki and Ryan Pehrson combined for three scoreless innings out of the bullpen to close the game. Conner Linn struggled on the mound giving up six runs. NKU only got five hits on the day, Jake Altman had the lone run-scoring and Gabe Miranda drew three walks.
Saturday, March 29
Softball dropped both games in the doubleheader against Cleveland State. First game 4-1: Trinity Robertson finished 1-2 with a walk and an RBI. Mack Brow finished 1-2 with a walk and scored a run. Alicia Flores allowed four runs in six innings, striking out four batters. Second game 6-3: Kyndall Ford started in the circle for the Norse, allowing six runs in three innings. Flores relieved Ford, as she threw two scoreless innings with a pair of strikeouts. Brooklyn Ballis threw the final two frames for NKU and only allowed a walk and a hit. Campbell Beatty batted 3-4 and scored a pair of runs. Jena Rhoads went 1-4 with a double, scoring a run and driving in one. Olivia Pastin went 1-4 with an RBI single. Robertson batted 1-2 with a walk.
Baseball lost to Milwaukee 11-8. Logan Wilson got the start for the Norse, striking out three and allowing only two runs in 2.2 innings. Shawn Parnell pitched 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball, but NKU gave up 14 walks. Tyler Shaneyfelt went 2-5 over the plate and hit a grand slam in the bottom of the first to kick off the scoring. Sparks hit a home run, leading the Norse with three hits. But this game came down to the ninth inning as the Panthers rallied back to win.
Stunt competed against Cal Baptist losing 24-0 and Hope International also losing 24-0.
Men’s tennis lost to IU-Indy 5-2. Jacob Rouleau-Mailly picked up an individual win, while Emilio Bravo notched a three-set victory, also picking up an individual win.

Women’s tennis picked up a team win against IU-Indy 5-2. Four Norse finished with victories in singles play, giving the Norse their first win in conference play. Ashlee Fisk only lost three games in her two-set victory, picking up an individual win. Darya Gneidina won her individual match in three sets, winning the final one 6-3; she also picked up a doubles win. Mariajose Hernandez won 6-4, 6-0 individually and won her doubles match as well. Didi Steenhuis won 6-3, 6-4 in her individuele match.

Baseball faced off against Milwaukee, winning 6-2. Aaron Boster was dominant for the Norse with six no-hit innings and six strikeouts to pick up the. Three Norse finished with multiple hits in the win, led by a 3-4 day from Logen Devenport. Devenport had an RBI and swiped a pair of bases as well. Gabe Miranda finished 2-4 with a double and a walk. Tyler Shaneyfelt finished 0-4 but did drive in a run with a sac fly. Nolan Sparks had a homer, finishing 2-5 on the day. Marcus Harrison drew three walks for NKU.
