Wednesday, Jan. 29
Women’s basketball beat Detroit Mercy 79-49. Halle Idowu went 7-9 from the field, scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. It marked her second straight double-double and third of the season. Abby Wolterman finished with a 13-point, eight-rebound performance, with 10 of her points coming in the first half. Wolterman went 5-6 from the field. Mya Meredith dropped 12 points in 24 minutes. She also grabbed six boards and recorded a pair of steals. Kalissa Lacy provided an offensive spark off the bench with nine points and a pair of threes. Macey Blevins finished with eight points and four rebounds. 10 Norse scored in this game, with well rounded performances all around.
Thursday, Jan. 30
Men’s basketball lost against Detroit Mercy 68-57. Keeyan Itejere finished with 12 points and seven rebounds while shooting a perfect 6-6 from the floor. Itejere also blocked a pair of shots. Josh Dilling scored 11 points and knocked down three three-pointers. Randall Pettus finished in double figures as well with 10 points and three steals. Trey Robison finished with nine points in 32 minutes of play. NKU struggled offensively, shooting the ball 19-63 (30%) from the field and 4-27 (14%) from three.
Saturday, Feb. 1
Men’s and women’s track and field competed in the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. The women’s and men’s teams did not record a team score. In the seeded women’s high jump, Julia Pohl recorded a fifth-place finish, clearing 1.65 meters on her first attempt. Olivia Kennedy finished in 20th in the 800 meters, recording a time of 2:16.55. Brittany Arnold ran 18:24.54 in the 5,000 meters, finishing 12th. Joi Bradley set a season-best in the 400 meters, running a 59.91, finishing 18th. Jacob Line ran a personal best in the unseeded mile, running a 4:11.48, finishing 12th. Five Norse men competed in the 3,000 meter run, and Natnael Weldemichael and Colton O’Hara were again standouts as they finished in 19th and 27th, respectively. O’Hara set an indoor personal best, running 8:26.93, while Weldemichael finished in 8:17.68. Kaden Gardner set a new personal record in the unseeded high jump with a leap of 1.95 meters.
Stunt lost against Mercyhurst 18-1, then lost against Ashland 22-0.
Women’s basketball lost on the road to Wright State, 75-67. Macey Blevins crossed the 1,000 career point mark with a season-high 24-point performance. Blevins shot 9-20 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists. Mya Meredith finished with 16 points on 6-12 shooting, along with two steals and a block. Her 16 points tied for the third-most she’s had in a game this season. Halle Idowu scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds. Anna Hamilton scored six points, grabbed four rebounds and came up with two steals. Wright State had four players finish in double figures.
Men’s basketball beat Oakland on the road 84-75. Dan Gherezgher Jr. led NKU in nearly every category, playing a season-high 34 minutes and scoring 22 points. Gherezgher hit four threes, grabbed four boards and dished out six assists-all season best for him. Randall Pettus II scored 14 off the bench, nailing four threes and recording three steals. LJ Wells scored 10 in just 18 minutes of play. Keeyan Itejere fouled out in the second half, finishing with 12 points, four boards and a pair of blocked shots. Josh Dilling scored 10 points, hitting three threes. Trey Robinson and Sam Vinson scored eight points, with Robinson grabbing a team-best six boards and Vinson dishing out seven assists. NKU shot efficiently, finishing with 45.9% shooting from the field and 37% from three.
Sunday, Feb. 2
Stunt lost against Missouri Baptist 12-0. Then they lost to Kentucky 23-0.

- Softball will go up against Morehead State at the Pinnacle Blue Hose Invitational in Clinton, S.C. at 12:15 p.m.
- Men’s Basketball will take on Robert Morris at home at 2 p.m.
- Women’s Basketball goes up against IU-Indy in Indianapolis at 2 p.m.
- Softball will face off against Presbyterian at the Pinnacle Blue Hose Invitational in Clinton, S.C. at 4:45 p.m.
- Men’s and women’s tennis will both go up against Southern Indiana in Crestview Hills at 6 p.m.
