Wednesday, Jan. 8
Women’s basketball beat Robert Morris at home 72-58. Macey Blevins led the Norse with 16 points, nine rebounds and four assists. Her nine rebounds marked a new career high. Mya Meredith finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and a game-high three steals. This would be Meredith’s eighth effort with multiple steals in a game. Kamora Morgan scored 12 points while dishing out three assists and grabbing two rebounds. Morgan is averaging 10.3 points per game and has reached double-figure scoring six times this year. The Norse shot 18-22 from the free throw line, shooting 81.2% on the day. They went a perfect nine-of-nine in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Men’s basketball falls on the road to Youngstown State 72-61. Trey Robinson tied for the game-high in scoring, putting up 19 points while grabbing six rebounds. Robinson knocked down a pair of threes and had two steals. LJ Wells finished with 13 points and made a season-high two threes. Sam Vinson scored 10 points, grabbing three boards and five assists. Vinson was also strong on the defensive end with three steals. NKU struggled to defend the three, as YSU shot 13-28 from downtown. The Penguins also out rebounded the Norse 38-28.
Saturday, Jan. 11
Women’s basketball picked up a win at home against IU-Indy 80-63. Halle Idowu dropped 19 points on 8-11 shooting from the field, grabbing nine boards and blocking three shots. It marks the fourth time in five games she has scored at least 15 points or more. Macey Blevins dropped 16 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. She has scored in double figures in all but four games this season. Blevins went down with an apparent ankle injury and didn’t return for the last couple minutes of action. Abby Wolterman dropped a season-high 11 points, all of which came within the first 16 minutes of game time. Her five made field goals also marked a season-high. Jaci Jones also had a career day, but hers came in assists, as she threw out eight dimes with just one turnover. Jones is currently the active leader for a single season in NKU’s DI history in assist-turnover ratio, with a 2.58 mark this year. Mya Meredith posted double-digit rebounds for the second time this year, while Kalissa Lacy drained two threes off the bench, finishing with nine points.
Men’s basketball lost at home against Oakland 68-53. Sam Vinson led NKU in scoring with 11 points. Vinson had a steal and a pair of assists. Josh Dilling scored 10 points, hitting a pair of three-pointshots in 27 minutes. Keeyan Itejere led NKU in rebounds with seven. Randall Pettus II had eight points, converting on two three-pointers. NKU struggled from deep, shooting 24.1%. They also struggled at the free throw line, shooting 50%.

Women’s basketball will be on the road to play against Purdue Fort Wayne in Fort Wayne, IN. at 2 p.m.
