The NKU women’s tennis team fell in their first two matches of the season on February 21 and 22 in Springfield, Mo.
The Norse began the weekend by facing off with No. 21 Drury, but fell to the Panthers 1-8. Sophmore Jenny Hand was the only Norse able to score a point by winning her singles match. Next the women faced No. 36 Washburn, but lost a close match 3-6. Hand again was able to score a singles point, and added a doubles point with her partner, senior Stephanie Isaacs. Senior Maggie Koetter was also able to add a singles point.
The Norse will be back in action on March 7 and 11 as they take on Millersville and Kenyon in Hilton Head, S.C.
