SGA swore in a new senator, as well as Assistant Dean of Students Bob Alston giving a presentation on NKU’s code of conduct and SGA’s chief justice giving a short presentation at Monday’s meeting.
Freshman respiratory care major Abe Heil was sworn in as senator by Chief Justice Christopher Prince in the beginning of the meeting.
Alston’s presentation talked about the recent vandalism on the housing rock, and the violations to NKU’s different policies that vandalism breaks.
Alston said that he needs to be aware of student problems in order to make change.
“I am only as good as the information I get told,” Alston said.
Prince gave a presentation on SGA’s first three articles in their constitution.
During executive reports, President Aliya Cannon announced that she will be announcing at next week’s meeting who will fill the two current vacant seats of vice president and chair of student advocacy. She will also be announcing who will take the position of university improvements chair, which is not currently vacant as Jimmy Renton who currently holds the position will not be resigning until Dec. 21.
