October 28, 2020
In a campus-wide email, President Ashish Vaidya announced that Robert Kues, faculty member of the biological sciences department, died on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
“Rob loved teaching and inspiring his students. He did not have any biological children, but his colleagues said he considered his students as his own. Teaching was truly his calling and his passion,” Vaidya wrote.
Kues joined NKU in 1998 and has been a longstanding member of the biology department. Vaidya said the NKU community’s thoughts and prayers are with Kues’ long-time partner, Molly, as well as his family, friends, colleagues and students.
At this time, students and faculty are encouraged to seek campus assistance when needed, Vaidya said.
