MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) – Ball State officials say injured receiver Dante Love will likely never play football again.
Love was hurt during a game at Indiana on Saturday night and underwent a 5-hour operation on Sunday for a broken spine and an injury to his spinal cord.
A statement released Monday by the Ball State athletic department says Love is expected to be able “to live a normal and healthy life” outside of football after rehabilitation.
The university says Love has no paralysis in his arms or legs.
