Andrew Jewell was a competitor. Whether it was golfing, eating or watching TV, he could turn almost anything into a competition, according to senior golf team member Tyler Adkins. “Anything was a competition.”
Jewell died at his home in his sleep April 2. According to the Kentucky Enquirer, Jewell suffered from Epilepsy.
Jewell, a senior business management major, was a senior member of the Northern Kentucky University men’s golf team. He attended NKU after graduating from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
According to Adkins, Jewell had plans to move to Arizona and go professional after college.
Golf team head coach Daryl Landrum described Jewell as the fiercest competitor he had ever coached.
Athletic Director Jane Meier described Jewell as a solid performer.
