The competition in the presidential primaries may have just been heating up on Super Tuesday night, but the competition was even fiercer in the Greaves Concert Hall as students showcased their wide variety of talents in “iTalent, iRock, iLove.” The homecoming week talent show was co-sponsored by the Homecoming Committee and the Activities Programming Board (APB) on February 5.
While most students would enjoy a class delay, not many enjoy a delay in their evening entertainment. However, due to a flight delay, the evening’s emcee, Loni Love, a television personality and actress best known for her comedic commentary on VH1 and E!, arrived more than an hour late causing the show’s organizers to improvise to keep the crowd engaged. Members of the crowd were called to the stage to show off some of their dance skills, ultimately resulting in a clothes-shedding dance-off that featured a cartwheel, disco dancing, and the Macarena. In addition, the show’s organizers added some acts to the roster by reaching out to their talented friends to fill up the time until Love arrived.
After some performances from the Anointed Voices choir and the acoustic duo The Travelers, Love finally made her arrival on the Greaves stage.
