Senior Liz Holmes is a secondary education social studies major. She is a middle blocker and last season she finished with 471 kills and a GLVC-leading .396 hitting percentage (No. 3 nationally in Division II). Holmes also had 285 digs and 78 total blocks. She was named All-GLVC, All-Great Lakes Region and honorable mention All-America for the second straight year.

I love 80s music!
What is the one thing you need when you go on the road?
My pillow and blanket.
Do you have any rituals you do before a game?
Before the games our team sings and dances in the locker room. We usually will sing the national anthem along with other songs that get us pumped up to play.
Any superstitions?
Not really, I just have to warm up in the same place every time.
If you could change one rule in volleyball, what would it be?
I can’t think of anything I would want to change.
What are some personal goals you’ve set for this year?
This year I wanted to improve my hitting percentage, dig and block more balls, and to be a better leader.
How do you want to be remembered in NKU’s Volleyball program?
As a middle-hitter who played for one of the best programs.

Goofy, competitive, fun, hard-working and dedicated.
What do you want to do after college?
After college, I want to be a high school social studies teacher and coach volleyball.
