Former tomboy Avril Lavigne is finally seeing the error of her fashion ways. The 21-year-old rocker told Nylon magazine in an interview that she’s hung up her trademark ties for more costly designer pieces. The interview, and pictures of Lavigne modeling fashions by Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren, will be in the September issue of the magazine. “When you get older, you don’t want to go out to dinner in your jeans and T-shirt. You want to feel sexy in a nice dress,” she said. “When you’re 17, you don’t care about makeup or fancy clothes.” Speak for yourself, Lavigne. I would have killed for Louis Vuitton at 17. Let’s face it. I would now.
Singer Jesse McCartney forgot that old adage “mum’s the word” when he was recently interviewed by Atlanta radio station Star 94, OK! Magazine reports. The 19-year-old let slip to the interviewer that singer/actress/designer Jennifer Lopez is pregnant. When McCartney told his interviewer about girlfriend Katie Cassidy, who is playing Lucy Ewing in the movie “Dallas,” his interviewer said, “Oh, so I bet your girlfriend can give us the scoop on why Jennifer Lopez was fired from the movie.” McCartney replied, “She didn’t get fired, she’s pregnant.” As for J-Lo’s camp, her reps deny McCartney’s blunder, saying it was “100 percent not true.” Maybe it was just her lackluster acting skills that lost her the part, huh Jesse?
Relations aren’t so sexy anymore between former “Sex and the City” co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker, 41, and Kim Cattrall, 50, Star magazine reports. A source told Star, “Kim recently said she hadn’t heard a word from Sarah in more than a year.” The source claimed Cattrall left a voice message asking Sarah to call her, but she hasn’t heard back. Parker’s camp denied any animosity between the two: “There’s not bad blood. She never got a phone call, and if one of her cast mates called, of course she’d call her back.” What does “bad blood” mean anyway? Blood isn’t the best thing to have between anyone, whether it’s good or not.
