Northern Kentucky University will welcome critically-acclaimed poet and educator Francisco X. Alarcon April 28 at 4 p.m. in the Honors House.

An author of 10 volumes of poetry, as well as numerous bilingual children’s books, Alarcon will be addressing educators and students about teaching methods for foreign language classes, as well as the education issues presented by Greater Cincinnati’s growing Latino population.

The workshop, which is sponsored by NKU’s Office of Latino Student Affairs is free and open to the public. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Carmen Kirchgassner at (859) 572-6013.
