Twinkle twinkle little star
Need some relaxation after a hectic morning? The Science Center’s Haile Digital Planetarium will be showing starry night features and galaxies far away at 12 p.m. The presentation will feature a show about stars cast out of their galaxies as well as the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram. Wednesday, August 31
BBQ Night
No need to fire up your grill Wednesday night. The Black Student Union and African American Programs and Services will sponsor a BBQ aimed to create commUNITY amongst student organizations. The BBQ will be served up in the University Housing Pavilion at 5 p.m.
Thursday, September 1
Throwback Skate Night
Go retro and don’t forget the skates! Students will be able to attend a skate party and participate in an 80’s and 90’s throwback skate party at 6 p.m. at the Florence Fun Dome.
Friday September 2
Midwest African Student Organization Conference
MASO is a three-day event that is geared towards discussing the major problems of the African continent and coming up with solutions on how to effectively break the common stereotypes associated with the African continent. It’s a mixture of discussions, social interactions and entertainment all in one weekend, starting at 4 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom
Dive-In Movie Night
Dive in to the pool at the Rec Center and watch a movie while you’re at it. The Black Student Union and African American Programs and Services will host a Movie Night in the Rec Center at 6 p.m. Swimming and movies, what more could you ask for.
