The Student Wellness Fair was held in the Student Union ballroom on Tuesday for students to explore booths discussing mental health, physical health and much more.
“The definition of wellness has really expanded in the last couple of years. It’s so cool to see all these different ways wellness touches the lives of students,” said Ion Center representative Sammi Murrell.
Located in Covington, the Ion Center for Violence Prevention was there to provide resources and support to those who have been impacted by power-based personal violence like stalking, sexual assault, relationship violence and more.
The wellness fair featured multiple booths providing information and services for different aspects of wellness. This included St. Elizabeth Healthcare, NKU’s Office of Education Abroad, FUEL NKU, Care Closet, the NKU Institute for Student Research and Creative Activity and more.
Participants provided pamphlets, help numbers, resources, stickers and other goodies to students in attendance. Guests were given helpful information for issues they struggle with or may struggle with in the future.

“It’s important to have this event to show what options are available because some people may not be aware of the services offered both on and off campus,” said Ion Center representative Allie Kemper.
